About

Josh and Jess Homer serve as missionaries on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, home to the Oglala Lakota Sioux. Their ministry is rooted in long-term presence, gospel witness, and holistic community engagement among one of the most historically underserved and spiritually lost regions in North America.

Josh plays a unique and vital role in the community, serving as:

• A high school teacher and coach, where he builds relationships with students and families through daily life, mentorship, and sports
• A worship leader at Manderson Community Church, helping create a Christ-centered, culturally respectful space for worship and fellowship
• A consistent disciple-maker and encourager, working alongside Jess to share the hope of Jesus through both word and deed

Together, Josh and Jess invest in the lives of individuals and families on the reservation, seeking to bring healing, hope, and transformation through the love of Christ. Their ministry emphasizes relational outreach through education, sports, and community involvement. Prioritizing cultural understanding and humility, the Homers seek to honor Lakota heritage while faithfully proclaiming the gospel.
