Curtis Barnes, Senior Pastor

Hometown:
Elizabethtown, KY

Education: BA from Campbellsville University in Religious Education & Psychology | Master of Divinity from Billy Graham School at Southern Seminary

"I am a rabid (not avid, rabid) University of Kentucky fan. Shelly and I have 3 children: Caleb, Anna, and Daniel. When I do manage to take a day off or find free time in my schedule I generally spend it with the family (wave-running on the lake, movies, playing/watching sports, all the normal “family stuff”), play (using the term “play” loosely) golf, travel, play disc (frisbee) golf, video game with the kids, and anything Shelly and/or the kids plan for me!"

Gary Beaty, Pastor of Missions

Hometown:
Lubbock, TX

Education: Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University | Master of Ministry Leadership and Master of Divinity from Rockbridge Seminary.

"My wife Jan and I have two children and four grandchildren. After becoming a follower of Christ at the age of 29, I quickly became involved in missions and discipleship. I lead classes in cross-cultural orientation, prayer walking, witnessing and travel safety & security. One of the highlights of my ministry is mentoring others to become successful mission team leaders.  I also lead several short term mission teams each year and these travels have taken me into much of the U. S. and many countries around the world. My passions is discovering where God is at work and joining Him there."

Dr. Andy Brockelman, Associate Pastor of Adults 55+ and Pastoral Ministries

Hometown:
Sherman, TX

Education: B.A. Religion, Dallas Baptist University | Master of Religious Education, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary | Ph.D. from the School of Educational Ministries, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary

“I am married to Lois Ann Brockelman, we have 2 children and 5 grandchildren. I love working in the yard and garden. Flowers, shrubs and trees are a passion of mine. I find the beauty of creation fascinating down even down to the most minute detail. Traveling is a pass time for my wife and I as well, especially when we get to visit with my son and his family in Minnesota or my daughter in Hawaii. Time with family (grandchildren) is most precious to us. We especially love leading trips and mission projects around the world with our 55+ adults. We’ve served churches in Texas, New Mexico, Tennessee and Virginia and we’ve loved them all. Music is another passion of mine. I love singing with our Highest Praise Choir and sharing with all our friends in the local nursing home and assisted living facilities. It’s great serving the Lord in the second half of life.”

Grant Keith, Worship Arts Pastor

Hometown:
West Palm Beach, FL

Education: BA in Music Education from Samford University, MM in Worship, Southwestern Seminary

"I am happily married to my insanely beautiful wife, Brooke. God has just blessed us with Caroline, our first child. We also have two sweet, little dogs, Lola and Abby. I live life passionately connected to God through worship, and it is my goal to help people experience God more intimately on a day-to-day basis. I love sports and am also from South Florida.....in other words most people despise the teams I love: Florida Gators, Miami Dolphins, and the Miami Heat. I also have a special place in my heart for the Dallas Cowboys!"

"I enjoy anything music, production, and technology related. I enjoy writing, arranging, and recording music and I am a fan of anything APPLE or from the genius of Steve Jobs. I have a couple of degrees in music, a wealth of knowledge which I use to bore my baby daughter to sleep at night."

"My favorite Bible passage is Isaiah 6:1-6, where we are reminded of God's faithfulness in our time of desperation."

Joe Mayes, Associate Pastor to Students

Hometown:
Evansville, IN

Education: Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from University of Southern Indiana.

"I am married to a wonderful wife, Alison Mayes. We are expecting our first child in November. I am a big sports fan, anything to do with: Indiana University, Chicago Cubs, Dallas Cowboys, or Utah Jazz. I also love to play sports, spend time with my wife and family, and watching movies, and hanging out with students."

My favorite verse is Isaiah 48:11, “For my own sake, for my own sake, I do it, for how should my named be profaned? My glory I will not give to another.”
